We collect information you provide directly to us during registration and the application process, including your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, educational qualifications, and documents such as ID proof and marksheets. We also collect technical information such as IP addresses and browser data for security and audit purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: process your applications for skill development programmes, communicate course updates and selection results, verify your eligibility, maintain audit trails for transparency, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

Your information may be shared with the training centre/directorate you apply to, for the purpose of selection and admission. It may also be shared with relevant government ministries for programme oversight. All sharing is governed by applicable Government of India data protection rules.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Passwords are stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. Sensitive documents are stored on secured servers.

5. Cookies and Sessions

We use session cookies to maintain your login state. These are essential for the portal to function and are deleted when you log out or close your browser. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact our helpdesk at skilluphelpdesk[at]stpi.in. Requests will be processed within 30 working days, subject to legal requirements.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified through announcements on the portal. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
